I have to admit that the Nokia N95 is my first Symbian operated mobile phone, so if the following is not just N95 specific, do not shoot me.
Check these 2 screenshots (names blanked out):
Simple question: why do I see nothing but mobile phone icons here?
I dialed 1 person on both land-line and mobile, yet everyone shows up with the same icon. Same goes for the received calls.
More irritating, if I select a contact(name) from either of these logs, I have NO option to see what number goes with that specific call.
[FYI: I have all my contact on my phone, nothing on my SIM]
Can somebody please tell how I can change this???

That is bug in the N95 firmware. All other Nokia Symbian phones will show the correct icon. Hopefully they fix that in the next release cuz it is really annoying.

i think u need to save the number under specific icon dude….there are so many icon under the phonebook…such as mobile icon (3 icons ) telephone (3 ) car phone 1video call and such,,,,u just need to choose one

For real, that part of S60 does not differ much from Series 40, so that is all swell.
So in normal contact view everything is okay, these same icons only show up in the call-log.
