Experience Nokia N95’s accelerometer yourself!

After seeing this video from fellowblogger Mark Guim:

YouTube source: Video through TheNokiaBlog

I had to experience it myself. Just downloaded and installed this neat and fun little app from Nokia research.

Although it does not much, it sure amazes me and the people I show it to… This should open doors to game-developers!

And even better if you move your N95 as a pingpong-bat keep the ball up… additively simple!

It’s great. But it has one mistake: It doesn’t work in landscape mode.

You should try and bounce the ball up and down instead of “dropping” the phone.
Just pull the phone towards you and then gently push it away and pull it again to wards you and so on (like bouncing a tennis ball on a racket).

I tried downloding the accelerometer but the link is to a file called MovingBall_Example.sisx that, once saved, i cannot then open. How do i install this on my phone? Or is this link broken? Thanks, C
