Great post over at iFoNfo covering iPhone apps running on Series 60:
Unlike the iPhone, Series 60 devices are not limited to web-based applications. A large market of native 3rd-party applications already exist including console emulators, multi-protocol instant messaging, IR remote controls, and much more. Series 60 also supports Java and Flash.
That said, there will surely be plenty of interesting web applications that could benefit from the kind of rich mobile interface possible with Safari. Hopefully the designers of those apps will consider the possibility of running them on devices other than the iPhone; making the UI work at slightly different resolutions would be most of the effort. The N95 has a 2.6″, 240×320 pixel screen whereas the iPhone’s is 3.5″, 320×480 pixels.
The iPhone’s touch interface looks nicer than the typical Series 60 phone’s method of moving a cursor with a directional pad, but it works well enough for pointing and clicking.

The article is incorrect in that the S60 is not based on Safari but based on the same open source core engine that Safari happens to also use.
