Posted 04 Jan 2008 at 7:45 pm ¶>Romain: if you got your N95 8GB from SFR, you must change the product code, then update.

Posted 06 Jan 2008 at 8:22 am ¶Any firmware update you will have to go through pc suite cannot be downloaded through download manager because the suite recognises the phone and gets the update
if so, is there anyway I can make the download faster? since the connection is only dial-up
Posted 07 Jan 2008 at 2:13 am ¶no download manager possible i think, your update ver 20.x is for N95-1 and not for N95-2 ie., 8gb
Posted 07 Jan 2008 at 7:15 am ¶Hi, do you think that this update will be available for first generation N95 phones ?
Posted 07 Jan 2008 at 7:08 pm ¶Seems we Nokiaphiles downunder are only deemed worthy of Version 10.002???
How do we dump the version trap?
Posted 08 Jan 2008 at 1:45 am ¶@pedro
For N95-1 update ver 20 is already available with lots of enhancements and changes:
“Nokia N95 Software version 20.0.015 released - 26 November 2007
This software version includes battery, stability & performance improvements enabling you to run faster and longer - giving you up to three more hours of music (up to 30% increase, from 9h to 12h of music playback). This release also includes a new version of Nokia Maps which provides faster positioning, faster Map Loader, and free 3-day navigation. Free N-Gage demo games are included and other games are available via Download! With the Nokia Music Store now live in the United Kingdom, users can enjoy the convenience of instant over-the-air downloads, regardless of where they are.
After updating your device software to 20.0.015, and restoring your personal data, you can optimise the menu layout by installing the New_Menu_Structure.SIS file. Download and install this file to rearrange your menu layout specifically for SW 20.0.015. Reboot your device to see the menu changes. ”

check this link for further info on how to track the updates :

Don’t want to track the available updates, want to force them onto the phone because the Australian Networks are too damn slow to react unless they can make money out of it!
Posted 12 Jan 2008 at 3:18 am ¶Hi,
Im currently using v10 firmware and want to update to v15.
Ive never updated firmware before and I was just wondering some things before I update:
I have the full version of the navigation software with voice guidance, I have read that the tracker is disabled in v15 does that apply with the full version?
Does quick office stay on the phone or deos it have to be reinstalled?
And finally is spiderman 3 deleted?
Thanks in advance for replying.
