IT168.com: Nokia N95 review and N95 dismantling

tagged with:No Tags

Browsing Technorati I stumbled upon the site of IT168.com, featuring a 14 page review of the Nokia N95.

Forgive me, but my Chinese is really bad and I could not even find something that looks like “contact IT168″. I tried to use Google’s translation function, but then the site displayed different line of text over eachother… So I have taken the liberty, with all credit for IT168, to repost some of the pictures of their website.

Firstly some nice shots from all sides of the N95:

The review elaborately shows the device and its functions, with screenshots for about every step taken. Good to see that all the Chinese characters seem to be displayed well too! (Well, it looked like Chinese to me!)Then some pictures taken with the N95, some screenshots of the RealPlayer, screenshots of the GPS Mapping, followed by the SMS and MMS functionality (guessing from the screens shown).
Then some browsing, some games, the calculator, the barcode reader, the internal memory stats, Bluetooth functionality and USB connectivity.

Hard to say what the verdict is, how the N95 is rated by them, but it seems to be something with 75… I guess %.

I found a movie of of the review too, but what amazed me even more was that they even have taken the N95 apart by hand! They have a movie for download (really really slow [2,5 KB/sec] by the way!) where they show the dismantling of the N95!

First some (shocking! This device is not even for sale!!!) pictures:

Finally leading to THIS:

Ow! I was amazed to see this. To keep you from the terribly slow download, I put it up on YouTube… as shown below! Enjoy!

I am waiting for the next video now where puts everything back together into a working Nokia N95!

:)

    Hi Eugen,

The phone in the video was probably a prototype and I do not have it… No, you cannot come to me, for I do not sell the Nokia N95… :D

In general, Nokia support most European languages on the European versions, so yes, both German and English will be supported.
