Believe it or not, but I am one of the happy few that does not own a television… so all I could test was hooking my N95 up with the 20 Dell flat panel I am using in the office… Putting my TV-out setting to widescreen it does a mighty good job.
DivX Mobile does what it’s supposed to do brilliantly. The interface is simple & easy to use. I’ve tested this application on my Nokia N95 to play several DivX videos without facing any problem. Videos can be played in portrait, landscape and full screen mode.
In case you are the email addict that simply cannot wait, you might want to take a look at the Seven’s push email client for S60 3rd edition devices (amongst others).
The push feature works very well, but after using it for two days, I can definitely say it’s not for me. Too intrusive, I rather prefer opening the Gmail client on my Nokia N95 and read emails from there. It really doesn’t change my life getting continuous alerts for new emails.
In addition, I would have preferred a new Inbox, not the standard of the S60. I can see only four emails at once there, not good if you receive hundred emails everyday. But I know that on E61 and E61i the story is different.
As to how the P1i compares to the other two ‘class of 2007′ smartphones: well, it doesn’t disgrace itself. My own, utterly personal feeling, and one made stronger by my recent hands-on week with the Apple iPhone, is that Sony Ericsson’s implementation of a UIQ 3 interface has more than its fair share of kludges. Not that the two S60 devices are free from quirks, either. Both Symbian OS-based interfaces could do with a heavy streamlining session involving myself and an education-sized set of marker pens….
But the P1i succeeds at nearly every aim that it was set. Compared to the near-disaster that was the P990, the P1i has a much better display, a great keyboard, a better camera, tons more RAM and it’s lighter and slimmer. So it’s not perfect yet - which device is? It’s still Sony Ericsson’s best smartphone to date.
Back in the days I used to be a big fan of Sony Ericsson, but the slow response of their OS became a huge irritating factor… Still having some feelings for their design and intention I kept an eye on this P1, but not yet impressed…
What do you think of the conclusion AAS is giving so far?

Funniest question with amazing answer:
Most of us already know that your favourite colour is pink, but what phones have you got/had in this colour?
Hmmm that’s a long list.
Nokia Classic N-Gage with Nokia OK OEM pink housing
Nokia 7210, 3650 - OEM Pink Housing
Nokia 5300, 6610, 6682, 6630 - Aftermarket pink housing
Nokia 6600 - Rose… which was more bronze than pink
Nokia N73 - Pink
Nokia N95 - Pink
Nokia 3595 Hello Kitty Edition - came in pink
I’ll say this… whatever phones that I’ve had I’ve always made sure there were pink customizations for it. I’m working on getting my E61i pink but after seeing the E65 I think I’ll wait for that.
While I am not taking any responsibility for the downloading and possesion of these movies , I guess that they can offer you some way of enjoying your N95 even a bit more!
All you need is the mobile DivX player (registration at Stage9 required) and to download some of these movies… great for the beach or the car!
So, yet another another month to look back at.

Thilo of Das ZentralOrgan has written a great post on using the Nokia N95 in combination with Twibble.
As you might have noticed I was on vacation last week. To be more specific: It was a great sailing trip from Varberg, Sweden to Klintholm, Denmark via Copenhagen on a Dehler 35 yacht named Stern. Of course I had my GPS receiver, twibble, and the Nokia N95 with me. As a result this is my geo coded diary including geocoded tweets and photos.
The post clearly shows what is possible, how it can be achieved, what is needed for it and what the results are.
