Simply not making the iPhone comparison!

One Nokia executive, communications director Kari Tutti, said on Tuesday that Nokia’s new N95 phone does everything the iPhone does. “Plus, we have GPS in ours,” he said. “Apple’s new iPhone confirms our strategy. We have a great lineup, and we are very happy with our plan.”

Which is something I totally agree with. Sure, the iPhone will sell in quantities that Apple expects, and will receive some high-rated reviews… but I am not going to compare the iPhone to the Nokia N95.

Why not? I have decided that one should only compare 2 phones when the features are exactly the same, and the comparison is only on grounds of user-friendliness. Why? Because comparing the iPhone with the N95 is comparing apples and pears… we are talking about 2 different devices and putting up all those comparisons only troubles the people that are trying to decide what their next phone will be!

So, If you are looking for a new mobile device: Make a list of requirements, search for the phones that meet those requirements and read reviews and testimonials on those phones. In the end, it is a device you are going to use on a daily basis, so using your required features in a pleasant way is the most important of all. And how you use it totally differs for each individual!

So…  skip the comparisons… read the user-reviews!
