The camera of the Nokia N95 has been point of discussion for a while now… and we know that it has a over-enthusiastic way of sharpening images during processing.
This matter, together with some great positive critiques, is being discussed in a post on Geekzone.
From the post:
This camera is amazing, it has far less lens pincushion that my real 5mpix camera and almost no edge fringing!!! Remembering that is a CMOS 5Mpix camera so does have some noise in low light. The problem is that Nokia are obsessed with “sharpening up” all the images, even the “user setup” turns “sharpening” back on if you exit and restart the camera option though it keeps all the other options as you set them.
The pictures in the post speak for themselves, but those owning the N95 know exactly what is being meant. Just zoom into one of your pics on a computer screen.

I think bottom-line of the post at Geekzone is that the default way the camera acts, does cause this over-sharpening.
Marko, thanks for the link to All about Symbian: very useful!!!
