Most of its users know now that the N95 has a fairly good TV-out functionality.

The guys of All about Symbian have put this functionality up to an in-depth test series:
- Will the smartphone eat the PC?
- The N95 as game console
- Word processing, Spreadsheets and PowerPoint on the big screen
Believe it or not, but I am one of the happy few that does not own a television… so all I could test was hooking my N95 up with the 20 Dell flat panel I am using in the office… Putting my TV-out setting to widescreen it does a mighty good job.

There are actually a few more TV Out articles on the way, perhaps two or three more. You can also see a couple of videos relating to the articles here:

Well done on not having a television, by the way.
In certain countries such as Britain and Finland you have to pay an annual tax (it’s called a licence but it’s really just a tax) on televisions.
If you don’t have a TV and consequently don’t pay the tax, the collectors simply will not believe you if you say you don’t have a TV. They’ll say “Oh come on, everyone has a television, now pay up.” or something along those lines. I and many other people had threatening letters from them at university, despite not having any sets. They didn’t even bother checking, they just assumed anyone on the computer without a licence was a licence dodger.
Posted 09 Aug 2007 at 4:49 pm ¶the tv out feature is simply exellent on the n95. And what i love more is the point that it shows it brilliantly. Especially the games…the n95 can be used sort of like a gaming console too! i simply luv it!!
