After reading this post over at S60 blogs, I thought it nice to try the latest version of Nokia’s Share Online.
This version 2.0 of the Share Online client now allows account creation with regular Flickr/Yahoo login, introduces tagging support including an on-device tag database, plus a few other improvements.
Note that when you install the update, the existing account settings for Flickr or Vox will be overwritten.
The following screenshots cover the installation and some sharing on Flickr.
I am about to change my dataplan to something where I probably make some more use of this… Lack of free wifi in many places really asks for that… ![]()
Only disadvantage I found in this application is that there is NO indication for the progress of the upload… it only shows the total amount of Mb to be uploaded, but does not show how long it takes to do so, nor how much left to upload.
What do you think of this application?

While I would prefer to use a ‘native’ sharing solution, as long as it doesn’t offer me the range of destinations and convenient queuing of Shozu (www.shozu.com), I’ll stick to that application instead.
Posted 15 Aug 2007 at 2:52 pm ¶With Shozu I can send photos AND video to many more locations than just Vox or Flickr (though those are included as well), and I only use data to send it to a single location, even if I ‘CC’ it to many others. It also has really smart access point logic that allows it to queue up items until you have access to a preferred access point and send it all then.
The Nokia uploader to Flickr is so SO addictive once you have an unlimited data tariff!
I’ve had a Flickr account for years, but I’ve started using it regularly since I got my N95. All of a sudden, you want to document your entire life in pictures.
I’d be doubly happy if I could upload videos and audio to the same place, but in the end, having to use YouTube and Flickr separately is fine. Once back to a desktop computer, I’ll pick the worthwhile stuff out and post it on my own blog… I can only imagine the tripe I’d post if it was easier to automate!
I agree with you, though, that the lack of progress info is a bit annoying and can become cause for concern when it seems to stall for a long time.

Posted 16 Aug 2007 at 10:14 am ¶Mobypicture.com added some nice sharing features. Right now you can distribute your photo posting to several platforms from one place. At this time postings are distributed to Twitter, Flickr and Hyves (dutch social community) and we’re adding platforms weekly.
This week we’ll add Facebook… Check it out. The nice part is that the Moby platform is sending it to all the other sites, so you only have the data pushed one time saving you costs!
You can also use Mobypicture form you regular email client…

p.s. I recognise that theme in the screenshots!! ^__^
