Received an email from my fellow Dutchman Marko Derksen (MarketingFacts.nl) yesterday with a nice little video.
One of the Dutch television organizations that covered the Dutch Championships Speed Skating offers its viewers to follow the live broadcasts through a mobile service (in case you are interested, the link is http://m.nos.nl/schaatsen/live/).

Quite amazed on the GPRS speed. For these kind of things I usually activate a 3G service.

It’s quite unlikely that this is achieved on gprs. And since umts is the de facto standard in the Netherlands, that can explain these rapid speed skaters …
