Widgets put Teletext on Nokia N95

tagged with:No Tags

James Burland just posted a sweet article over at thecreativelifeblog:

“Teletext is back thanks to those little Nokia widget things for S60.
Most of the widgets are pretty average, the Digg widget for instance, is really nothing more then the basic headline of each article. But the BBC’s Ceefax (British teletext) widget is rather cool - in an 80’s kind of way! All the news, sport and weather you can eat for just the price of a few kilobytes of data. (^_^)”

Thinking of the ultimate low in graphics teletext, this indeed might be a very simple option for many people to save on expensive rates for their non-wifi data service… High contrast, low bandwidth and ultra-compact news!

And it is fun to see that this opens up possibilities to get other “old” stuff widgetized. Waiting for the first “pong” widget! :P

Hi, thanks for the nice comments in general about WidSets! Regarding the pong widget, could this be something similar to what you’re looking for? Break-out
